Photo Safari No. 10: Naturpark Südgelände

Naturpark Südgelände, January 2010, Nikon D40x

Today we had April weather, I'm blogging this in August and these photos are from January. Kind of crazy, huh?
Photo Safari No. 10 took us to an interesting location called Naturpark Südgelände. It's an old railway territory that's not being used anymore. They let nature take over and turned it into a park, albeit not a typical one. There are paths to walk on but nothing is groomed or orderly. It's an intriguing mix of an industrial and natural landscape.

There is even an old railway engine standing around.

It was a bitter cold that January day and there was hardly a soul but us.

It was like walking through a magic forrest in some places.

There is also a long wall where sprayers are free to create their grafitti.

I love the mix of nature + industrial. And the snow and graffiti shots are so so lovely! I'll have to check out that park someday.
